SECTION 1: Out of the Box / Assembly / Specifications

The drone comes with the blades and legs pre-assembled; however, you will need to install the battery and blade guards before flying. To assemble, please watch this video.
Your Promark Drone comes with extra blades, blade guards and landing gear, but additional accessories are available.

The P70-VR is our premium, virtual reality drone. It has an upgraded, 720p HD camera and incudes a set of the Promark VR3D Goggles.

No. As long as you are connected to the Promark VR App, all photos and videos will be stored directly onto your smartphone.
Per FAA regulations, the drone height has been capped at 400ft above ground height.
The maximum flight time is roughly 12 minutes depending on the speed and operation of the drone. Using the one-button flip function will drain the battery at a faster rate than normal flight.
Yes! The 7.4V 2,000mAh Li-Polymer battery is rechargeable via the included USB cord. Tip: buy additional batteries here to extend your flight time!

If you fly the drone out of range, the signal will be lost and the drone will automatically land at that location. Note: Always keep the drone within range. Promark Drones and Import Marketing Solutions, Inc. are not responsible for damage to the drone or other people from a result of the drone being flown out of range.

This is a camera drone, and should not be retrofitted to carry any objects. Note: making any unapproved modifications to the drone will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
The 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty covers drone defects. This does not cover the damage caused by misuse, crashes, or other user error.

SECTION 2: Promark VR App / Virtual Reality Streaming

Yes – you can stream live video from your drone direct to your smartphone.
Yes! The Promark VR aerial-photography app is free to download.
You can either scan the QR code on the side of the box or search "Promark VR" in your app store. Make sure to scan the appropriate code for your operating system (iOS or Android).
  1. Download the Promark VR app.
  2. Power on the drone.
  3. Open the WiFi settings on your phone and connect to "P70-VR" WiFi. Tip: you may need to reset your WiFi by turning it off and then back on again.
  4. Once connected, open the Promark VR app and press "Play."
  5. For VR streaming, click the "3D" button on the screen and place your phone into the Promark VR 3D Goggles (included in the P70-VR drone, or available here).
Yes. The Promark VR aerial-photography app is compatible with smartphones running iOS and Android operating systems.
No. At this time, the Promark VR app is only compatible with smartphones running iOS or Android systems.
Real-time streaming refers to the drone’s ability to broadcast live video direct from the camera to your smartphone screen.
  1. Open the Promark VR app and connect to your drone.
  2. Press the “3D” button to switch into VR mode (split screen)
  3. Place the phone into the your Promark 3DVR Goggles (included with the P70-VR drone) and close the front panel (you will hear an audible “snap” from the magnets).

SECTION 3: Syncing your Remote Control

  1. Power on the drone (all lights should be blinking).
  2. Place the drone on a flat surface.
  3. Power on the remote control console (the drone lights should blink rapidly).
  4. On the remote, press Up and Down on the left joystick (the drone lights should be pulsing slowly)
  5. You are now ready to fly! Press the one-button take-off to initiate flight.
Yes! You can control the drone using the Promark VR app. Note: some features may be limited while flying with your smartphone – namely the single-button flip feature.
  1. Download the Promark VR app.
  2. Power on the drone (all lights should be blinking).
  3. Connect your smartphone to the drone WiFi and open the Promark VR app.
  4. Click the "Off" button to access the controls (the drone lights should be pulsing slowly).
  5. Click the dual triangle "Takeoff/Landing" button.
  6. You are now ready to fly! Press the one-button take-off to initiate flight.
In order to switch consoles from remote-control to smartphone-control (or vice-versa), you must first completely power down the drone, the remote and close the app, and then follow the steps above to connect to your console of choice.

SECTION 4: Camera Operation / Exporting Photos & Video

Using the Remote Control: Click the left-trigger “Camera Button” (you will hear an audible “beep”).
Using your smartphone: Press the “Photo” button on the apps screen.
Using the Remote Control: Press and hold the left-trigger “Camera Button” until you hear a long “beep” – you have started recording. To stop recording, press and hold the camera button again until you hear a long “beep.”
Using your smartphone: Press the “Video” button to start / stop the video recording.
Using the Remote Control: Press up or down on the “Camera Angle” button to articulate the camera in the corresponding direction.
Using your smartphone: Unfortunately, you cannot articulate the camera using your smartphone.
  1. Open the Promark VR app and click "Play."
  2. Click on the "Photo Library" button.
  3. Click on the "Photos" or "Videos" tab to view your photos or videos.
  4. Click on the photo or video or your choice to view.
  5. To save or export, click on the corresponding icon and follow the steps. Note: to save your videos to your phone, slide that video to the left to access the control screen.
No. When saving to your phone, that photo or video will be doubled up in your app. Tip: in order to save space on your phone, delete photos and videos off of your app after you have saved them to your phone. This will make sure that you are not doubling up on hard disk storage.
No. When saving a photo or video to your phone, the Promark VR is making a duplicate copy in your phone library. This means that once you have saved a photo or video to your phone, you can delete it from your app in order to conserve space on your hard drive.

SECTION 5: Basic In-flight Features

Connect to the drone via your Remote Control or smartphone and press the “Auto-Takeoff” button.
To land your drone, press the “Auto-Land” button. Note: on the Remote Control, this is the same button as the Auto-Takeoff.
The left joystick is your throttle and rotate controls. Press Up/Down to control the throttle (height), or press the joystick Left/Right to rotate the drone in the corresponding direction.
The right joystick is your directional control. Press Up/Down to fly forward/backward, or Left/Right to fly the drone left/right.
Yes – toggle up/down on the Remote Control or the “Speed Model” in the app to control the speed. Note: for beginners, it is recommended to start at a slower speed.
Per the new FAA regulations, you must always keep drone in sight. When the drone has a low battery, all 4 lights will be double-flashing. Tip: buy spare batteries and switch out for extended flight time. You can buy spare batteries here.
The drone has an auto-shut off upon impact. You will need to reset after crash landing.
Using the Remote Control: Press and hold the “Factory Reset” button on the bottom right of the control pad (all drone lights will blink rapidly and the camera will auto-articulate back to level).
Using your smartphone: to reset, you must power off the drone and reconnect.
Yes, to immediately stop all function on your drone, press and hold the “Auto Takeoff/Landing” button on the remote control, or press the “Stop” button if using smartphone control. Note: using the emergency stop will kill all power to the drone engines, and will cause your drone to immediately fall to the ground. The drone’s warranty does not cover damage occurred from using the Emergency Stop feature.
The drone auto-trims before each takeoff. This means that the drone must be placed on a FLAT SURFACE before flight. Note: If the drone is place at an angle while auto-trimming, it will automatically pull in that direction while in flight.

SECTION 6: Advanced In-Flight Features

Click the camera button to initiate Hover Mode.
Throttle the left joystick to the approved height to set. Note: you may have to adjust the throttle for variations due to wind or battery level.
  1. Maneuver your drone to the desired height. Note: the drone will drop in height while flipping – make sure to leave ample room for the drone to complete its in-air flip.
  2. Press the right trigger “Rolling” button (you will hear and audible beep from the remote).
  3. Press the right joystick in the direction that you want the drone to flip the drone.
  1. Place the drone in front of you before taking off. Note: the drone must be facing forward (away) from you.
  2. Press the “Headless Mode” button on the remote control or your smartphone.
  3. You are now ready to fly in headless mode! Press the one-button takeoff to initiate flight.
The Headless Mode feature locks the directional control of right joystick – this means that no matter what direction your drone camera is facing, pressing Up on the joystick will push the drone forward (away from you), and Down will bring it back.

SECTION 7: Repair / Reset

The drone has an auto-shut off upon impact. You will need to reset after crash landing.
Using the Remote Control: Press and hold the “Factory Reset” button on the bottom right of the control pad (all drone lights will blink rapidly and the camera will auto-articulate back to level).
Using your smartphone: to reset, you must power off the drone and reconnect.

SECTION 8: Safety, Weather & Location Tips

  • Always stay 2-3 meters away from the drone while in-flight.
  • Always keep drone in sight – this is a new FAA regulation.
  • Never get the drone wet – this will void your manufacturer’s warranty.
  • All major repairs must be done by a professional.
  • Remember: This drone is rated for ages 14+ and is not a toy, all drone actions, including operation, repair and charging, should be done under adult supervision.
Be mindful of high wind / inclement weather – do not fly in the rain, snow, or high wind.
Use higher speeds in wind for better control.
  • Mind all local, state, and federal FAA regulations regarding approved flight locations.
  • Do not fly by any airport or other restricted airspace.
  • Pick a location without buildings, trees, or groups of people.
  • Don’t fly over water – getting the drone wet will void your manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Not recommended for indoor use.
Per FAA regulations, drones are permitted for daylight-only operations, or civil twilight (30 minutes before official sunrise to 30 minutes after official sunset, local time).

SECTION 9: FAA Regulations

Yes. According to the current FAA regulations, you need to register your aircraft if it weighs between 0.55 lbs.(250 grams) and up to 55 lbs. (25 kg).
The P70-VR and P70-CW drones both weigh 1.28lbs, meaning you must register yourself with the FAA.
