How To Calibrate Your Promark GPS Pursuit Drone

The most important thing you should know when it comes to your GPS Pursuit Drone is that you should calibrate your drone before every flight. Here we discuss a step by step process to setting up your pursuit drone to have a seamless and smooth flight every time. If you’d rather watch the video, click here.
Two things to note before we get started:
  • Before you officially start, you should choose a good outdoor location in an open area that is free from both trees and people. You don’t want to accidentally run into someone or wreck your drone in the trees.
  • Double check the weather, and triple check that your GPS Pursuit drone is intact and all its parts are in place and secure.
Ready to calibrate your GPS?
Step 1: Set your drone down on a level surface and turn on your drone. All drone lights should be blinking red.
Step 2: Turn on your remote. Press up, then down, on the left joystick. This will connect your drone to the remote. The lights on your drone should be flashing blue in the back and white in the front. At this point you can connect to the Wi-Fi and view the drone status on the Promark GPS app.
Step 3: Reset the drone to factory settings and calibrate the gyroscope. To do this, press the joystick into the 11 and 1 o’clock positions. The drone lights should be rapidly blinking blue in the back and white in the front. Once calibrated, the drone app status should say gyroscope okay.
Step 4: Initiate your GPS compass calibration. Place your joysticks in the 1 and 11 o’clock positions. This is reverse from step three. The left joystick in this step will be at the 1 and the right joystick should be at the 11 o’clock position. Lights will rapidly alternate between blue and red in the back and white and red in the front. This means that your GPS compass is ready to be calibrated.
Step 5: GPS compass calibration part 1. Keeping the drone level, pick up the drone from the back and rotate your body in one full 360 degree circle. The back lights will turn to a solid blue.
Step 6: GPS compass calibration part 2. From the bottom, hold the drone face down and rotate your body in one full 360 degree circle. The front lights will turn to a solid white now.
Step 7: Finalize your GPS calibration. Set the drone back down to a level surface. The lights will return to rapid blinking blue in the back, and white in the front. This means the drone is finalizing its GPS calibration. Please note that this process might take a few minutes. The drone app status will read “waiting for GPS signal.” Once the lights are all solid, that means you’re ready to fly!
Step 8: Press the one button take off on your remote and you’ll be up in the air.
